About The team
The team originally started at the East Thurrock youth set up from U6/U7 and the core of the team has stayed together which has made the journey that much more rewarding. Previously known as the East Thurrock Sharks.
We are now starting our U9 season at 7 aside and the kids are thriving and as a team, we are now under the Tilbury Youth set up with a bright season ahead of us. All the kids are amazing and love their football and cannot wait until the next training session and match day, which is what keeps me doing it the next season. I am also lucky to have great support from the parents in the team which is a massive plus. The team consists of, Callum, Louie, George, Carter, Jeffrey, Henry, Finn, Tyler, Ted, Emmanuel and Elliott.

Like most grassroots coaches I fell into the role of coaching my son’s team in the pre-season period going into the first league season at U7. I love coaching the boys and especially that extra bond between me and my own son who is football mad just like myself at his age. I used to play in my youth at normal grassroots level like this team and I also enjoy playing golf (when I get some time to do so). I am a dad of 2 boys and this is my eldest’s team, lets see if I also get into coaching my youngest in a few years’ time too.
